Transporting People to a Memorial Service Venue

Baer / October 12, 2018

It is often necessary to make special transport arrangements, to get people to a memorial service venue. If, for instance, the memorial service venue is far from where most of the expected attendees live, you need to make special transport arrangements. Otherwise you will have very few attendees, with the rest citing transport difficulties as the reason for their not showing up.

Of course, the memorial service venue may be far off, but if it is in an area that is well served by public transport, then you may not need to make any major special transport arrangements. Conversely, the memorial service venue may be relatively near, but if it is in an area that is not well served by public transport, then you’d have no alternative but to make special transport arrangements.

One approach you can use, if you have to make special transport arrangements, is that of hiring a bus. So you hire a bus, and then you use it to transport the memorial service attendees to the venue where the service is to be held.

Another approach you can use is that of carpooling. So this is where you get the people who have personal cars to carry those who don’t have such cars to the memorial service venue. This approach can work very well if you are targeting a few attendees, who are members of a close-knit community.

As mentioned earlier, if the venue is a place that is well served by public transport, you can have the attendees use public means to get to the venue. You’d just need to advise them on what public means are available, the timings and where they can board.

Whatever approach you use, the most important thing is proper coordination. You can use your phone to call the targeted attendees, and advise them on the means they are to use to get to the memorial service venue. In this case, the only cost you’d have to worry about (while coordinating transportation) is the phone bill expense. For instance, if you are using a prepaid Metro PCS line, you’d have to make a metro pcs payment before starting to call the targeted attendees, and advising them about the transport arrangements. On the other hand, if you are using a post-paid Metro PCS line, you’d have to be ready to visit the pay my metropcs bill portal later on and, after going through the account statement, proceed to pay the incurred bill. Whatever method you opt to use, the most important thing is to ensure that there is proper coordination. This is only way to be sure that none of the attendees to the memorial service gets stranded at any point.
